A report on Japan's deep-sea 'space station'

This report provides a comparatively comprehensive research and analysis on the state and future development of Japan’s manned deep-sea submersible and deep-sea ‘space station’. It explains their standing in Japan’s maritime strategy and reasons behind their development. The report has therefore reviewed the R&D system (research and development system) of Japan’s manned deep-sea submersible and deep-sea ‘space station’ and their current status quo. The report made a conclusion on Japan’s planning on deep-sea space station and technology reserve. Some preliminary analysis was made on the future development possibilities and countermeasures.
