On September 14, 2024, Oleksandr Chalyi, former First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine and foreign policy advisor to the President of Ukraine, visited Grandview Institution. He engaged in in-depth discussions with representatives of GVI on Ukraine's domestic political situation, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and the potential role of China and the international community in mediating the conflict. Chalyi expressed Ukraine's welcome for China's participation in the political resolution of a Russia-Ukraine ceasefire and emphasized the unique role China could play.
