German Embassy Officials Visit GVI

 On the morning of August 7, 2024, Brigadier General Bernhard Altersberger, Defense Attaché; Colonel Matthias Schmidt, Naval Attaché; Colonel Holger Oswald, Air Force Attaché, and Mr. Marian Gordzielik, Deputy Director General of the Political Department of the German Embassy in Beijing visited GVI, and talked with researchers including Ouyang Wei, Deputy Director of the Academic Committee of GVI. The two sides exchanged views on the current situation in the South China Sea, the war in Ukraine, Germany's security policy in Asia-Pacific, and so on. Liu Xiaobo, Director of the Center for Maritime Studies, Shi Xianze, Deputy Director of the Center for European Studies, and Yang Xiaotong, Research Director of the International Cooperation Department of GVI, participated in the exchange.
