On November 25, GVI and the South Korean Embassy in China co-hosted the 2nd China-South Korea Policy Seminar, the second time this year, in which experts from both countries expressed their respective views on the dynamics of the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula, the positioning of the current China-ROK relationship, economic security, and the supply and industrial chain. They had an extensive exchange of insights on the assessment of the current situation, analyses of the structural causes, external influencing factors, obstacles and difficulties behind these issues, and tried to put forward some countermeasures and suggestions.
Jung Jae-ho, ROK’s Ambassador to China, and Ren Lipo, GVI President, delivered speeches for the conference, which was attended by Kim Ho-sup, former Chairman of the Northeast Asia History Foundation and Honorary Professor of Chung-Ang University; Jo Dong-joon, professor of Seoul National University; Kang Jun-young, professor of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies; Yeo Yu-kyung, professor of Kyung Hee University; and Yeon Won-ho, research fellow at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP); Wu Ri-qiang, professor of Tsinghua University; Lv Yue, professor of the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE); as well as some of the GVI researchers.
