Finnish Ambassador Visits GVI

On the afternoon of Nov. 15, 2023, Finland’s Ambassador to China, Mrs. Leena-Kaisa Mikkola (Meng Lan, her Chinese name), visited GVI and engaged in a dialogue on the development of Sino-European relations, the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict on Sino-European relations, as well as how China and Europe can join hands to contribute to world peace and stability with Finnish delegation of the Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation - CMI; Sun Mingxi, Counselor of Department of European Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China; Kong Tianping, a research fellow at the Institute of European Studies, CASS; Ren Libo, president of GVI; and Li Xinyu, vice president of GVI.

Ambassador Meng Lan said that the relationship between China and the EU is one of the most important bilateral ties in the world. She hoped that the two sides would keep up their cooperation for mutual benefit, practice multilateralism, resolve global crises through multilateralism, and thereby contribute to world peace and stability.
