On April 23, a delegation from Grandview Institution jointly organized a dialogue session in Tokyo with the Japan-China Relations Society and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation. Experts from China and Japan engaged in in-depth discussions on such topics as the politics and diplomacy of the two countries, the international situation and China-Japan relations, and trends in China-Japan economic development.
Participants in the exchange included Yuji Miyamoto, former Japanese Ambassador to China; Akio Takahara, President of the Japan-China Relations Society; Tomoyuki Fukumoto, Professor at Osaka University of Economics; Ren Libo, President of Grandview Institution; Shen Dingli, Director of the Center for American Studies at Grandview Institution; Liu Xiaobo, Director of the Center for Maritime Studies at Grandview Institution; Zhang Yi, Senior Research Fellow at Grandview Institution; and Zhao Long, Director of the Institute for Global Governance Studies at the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies.
The dialogue session was chaired by Lin Qianye, Vice President of the Japan-China Relations Society. Nobuko Kayashima, Executive Director of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, delivered remarks at the session. More than 30 members of the Japan-China Relations Society took part in the event.
