On March 17, 2026, a delegation from the Grandview Institution (GVI) visited the National Institute for Strategic Studies (NISS) of Ukraine.
At NISS, the delegation held discussions with Deputy Director Maksym Palamarchuk and others on issues including the Russia–Ukraine war, European security, China–U.S. relations, the transatlantic alliance, and the turmoil in the Middle East.
The NISS was officially established in March 1992 by a presidential decree. It is a top-tier national strategic think tank that provides policy consultation, strategic planning, and analytical forecasts for the President, the National Security and Defense Council, and other senior government decision-making bodies. Its research covers a wide range of areas, including domestic and international security, socio-economic development, foreign relations, and the country’s path toward modernization.
