On 8 December 2025, Sharon Fairsky, First Secretary for Regional Foreign Policy at the British Embassy in Manila, and Song Xinming, Secretary at the British Embassy in China, visited the Grandview Institution(GVI). Liu Xiaobo, Director of the GVI Maritime Studies Center, and Research Fellow Yi Wushuang held in-depth discussions with the visiting officials on the current situation in the South China Sea, China’s South China Sea policy, and maritime activities by regional and major extra-regional actors.
