Scholars from Grandview Institution participate in South China Sea Symposium hosted by CSIS in the United States

On 17 June 2025, the 15th South China Sea Symposium, hosted by the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in the United States, was held in Washington, D.C. The event brought together scholars, officials, and media representatives from the United States, the Asia-Pacific region, and Europe. The symposium discussed the latest developments in the South China Sea situation, the resolution of South China Sea disputes within the framework of international law, mechanisms for managing South China Sea crises, trends in the U.S. alliance system, and the role of extra-regional countries in South China Sea affairs. Liu Xiaobo, Director of the Marine Research Centre at Grandview Institution, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech on China's South China Sea policy and efforts to manage maritime risks.
