UN Officials from the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs Visit GVI

On December 13, Sonja Bachmann, Head of the Northeast Asia and Pacific Team of the Asia-Pacific Division at the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, and Political Affairs Officer Sheila Park visited GVI. They held discussions with GVI Chief Senior Research Fellow Zhang Tuosheng on issues related to peace and security in Northeast Asia, U.S.-China relations following the Trump administration's rise to power, and the regional situation.

The dialogue was also attended by Marina Laurent, Beijing Liaison Officer of the UN Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, and Zhu Junwei, Director of the GVI Center for American Studies.
