The Shanghai Centre, which is GVI’s first domestic branch to be officially operated, focuses on the development of the Belt and Road Initiative and the adjustment of the global industrial layout and provides relevant policy research and risk assessment services for Chinese enterprises going abroad and foreign enterprises coming in in the Yangtze River Delta region. Ren Libo, Founder and President of GVI, expressed his high hope that the Shanghai Centre will work to deepen the related policy and industrial research, improve the service platform and functions of GVI’s "Member Club", and establish a more open and diversified platform for international dialogue and exchange with a focus on economy and finance in Shanghai.

Mr. Zhao Genrong, Vice President of GVI and Director of the Shanghai Centre, said that Shanghai is an international center for business and trade and the forefront of China's opening up to the outside world. The Shanghai Center will strive to take advantage of its location, actively promote dialogue and exchange between China and the world’s economic, financial, and industrial sectors, and contribute the wisdom and strength of an independent think tank to world peace and sustainable development.
