On October 9, 2023, GVI and the CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation held an online seminar on the latest dynamics covering the Russo-Ukrainian war, the attitudes of various countries towards the current situation, and the impact of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the Russo-Ukrainian crisis. The conference was chaired by Ville Brummer, Program Director of CMI, with the participation of Denis Matveev, Senior Advisor of CMI; Oleksandr Moskalets, specially invited Advisor of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine; Ouyang Wei, Vice Chairman of the Academic Committee of GVI; and Lv Xiaoyu, Assistant Professor of the School of International Studies, Peking University.
At present, the GVI and CMI carry out online dialogues on a regular basis, covering a range of issues from China-EU relations, Russia-Ukraine crisis, to the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation is a non-governmental organization (NGO) aimed at conflict prevention and mediation through dialogue and founded in 2000 by Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari.
