Born in April 1958, Beijing by birth, Changsha, Hunan by ancestry. He is a professor (retired) of National Defense University. He is a member of the Chinese Society of Military Science, director of the China International Friendship and Liaison Association, senior researcher of the Chinese Society for International Strategy, deputy secretary-general of the Tian Han Foundation, and secretary-general of the Ouyang Yuqian Research Center. He is the author of "Theory of Strategic Deployment" and "Introduction to National Defense Mobilization". He has published articles and research reports on military strategy, great power relations, regional security and cultural studies, and participated in important foreign exchange, strategic consultation and cultural exchange activities.
