Grandview Institution Visits the German Federal Foreign Office

On July 2, 2026, Grandview Institution(GVI) paid a visit to the German Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. Delegates from Grandview held in-depth exchanges with the heads of the China Division, the Russia Division, and the Middle East Division on topics including the Russia-Ukraine war, the ongoing turmoil in the Middle East, and EU-China economic and trade relations.

Participants in the discussions included Ren Libo, President of GVI; Mao Jing, Director of the Center for European Studies at GVI; Zhao Long, Director of the Institute for International Strategic and Security Studies at the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS); Zhang Xin, Deputy Director of the Center for Russian Studies at East China Normal University; Niels Hegewisch, Policy Officer for China and Geopolitics at the Asia Department of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES); and Sergio Grassi, Chief Representative of the FES Beijing Office.
