On the morning of September 18, 2025, David Meale, Director of the China Practice at Eurasia Group, and Amanda Hsiao, Researcher at the firm, visited the Grandview Institution. The two sides held discussions on a range of key international issues, including China–U.S. relations, China–Europe relations, the South China Sea situation, and the Russia–Ukraine conflict.
Representing Grandview were Ren Libo, President of Grandview Institution; Liu Xiaobo, Director of the Center for Maritime Studies; Mao Jing, Director of the Center for European Studies; and colleagues from the Department of External Cooperation.
