On the morning of 10 June, the Grandview Institution delegation visited the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung headquarters, where they met with Dr. Sabine Fandrych, Vice President of the Foundation, and Mirco Gunther, Director of the Asia-Pacific Department. They discussed the current state of cooperation and future plans between Grandview Institution and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, as well as potential areas for collaboration between China and Europe in the field of international peace mediation.
On the same day, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung organised a roundtable dialogue, inviting representatives from the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace's Russia-Eurasia Centre, the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), Heidelberg University, Ruhr University Bochum, Leipzig University, as well as over a dozen think tank experts from China, Russia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. The discussion focused on issues such as China-Russia relations and their impact on Europe, the effects of Trump 2.0 foreign policy on the global order, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and the future framework for Eurasian security.
Ren Libo, President of Grandview Institution; Mao Jing, Director of the European Research Centre; Zhao Long, Researcher at the Shanghai Institute for International Studies; and Zhang Xin, Professor at East China Normal University in Shanghai, all participated in the above dialogue and meetings.
