Delegation of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia Visits GVI

On June 3, 2024, Maxim Chernyaev, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Director of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (PFUR or RUDN), and Zhao Jielin, Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Economics, RUDN, and their delegation visited GVI. They held in-depth discussions on the cooperation between universities and think tanks, youth exchanges between China and Russia, and Sino-Russian economic and trade cooperation with GVI experts.

Both sides said that recent years have seen a rapid rise in bilateral trade between China and Russia and more students studying in the other country. In the future, the two countries should step up cooperation to a higher level, a wider scope, and a deeper stratum, and at the same time, encourage the civil forces of both sides to actively promote and consolidate the foundation of public opinion through exchanges and mutual understanding. RUDN and GVI agreed to sign a cooperation deal soon, which encompasses strengthening dialogue and exchange and organizing the China-Russia Youth Salon and other events.

Participants in the meeting from the GVI side included Ren Libo, Founder and President, Zhu Junwei, Director of the Center for American Studies, He An, Secretary General, and Yang Xiaotong, Research Director of the International Cooperation Department.
