On the 24th of March, the Minister-Counsellor of Uruguay Martin Orlando paid a visit to the Grandview Institution (GVI). His Excellency spoke with the President of the GVI - Ren Libo, the member of the Academic Comittee at the GVI - Zhang Xiaoming, the Secretary-General of the GVI - He An.
His Excellency Mr. Orlando spoke in detail about Uruguay’s participation in the One Belt One Road Initiative, as well as expressing his belief that Sino-Uruguayan economic cooperation should continue. Meanwhile, President Ren introduced to his Excellency the Grandview Institution, its developmental history, and its cooperation with other notable think tanks from Europe, the Americas, Japan and South Korea.
Both parties also discussed how the Grandview Institution could increase communication and cooperation with its Uruguayan counterparts. Lastly, his Excellency and the representatives of GVI also discussed matters related to the visit by the Ambassador of Uruguay towards the end of April and the roundtable conference which he is going to attend, such as topic, formalities and so on.
