GVI Holds Second Sino-Korean Relations Youth Salon

On February 8th, the Grandview Institution and the Korean Foundation jointly held the Second “Sino-Korean Relations Youth Salon,” with the topic “Media’s Function and Contribution of increasing the Friendship and Camaraderie of the Two Countries.” The salon invited youth diplomats, youth scholars, youth journalists and university students from both China and Korea to communicate and discuss the specific measures to promote the friendship of the people from the two countries.

Former Chinese Ambassador to Korea, Qiu Guohong and the Korean Professor at the University of International Business and Economics, Han Kangyi gave keynote speeches, and other representatives discussed the media’s influence in the communication between China and Korea, and suggested that the media should report fairly.

“knowing is the start of understanding, understanding is the foundation of trust.” Ambassador Qiu Guohong said. Representatives from both countries believe that, both parties should try to understand and build trust between each other, in order to promote the friendship of the two countries.

Sino-Korean Relations Youth Salon is an inclusive, diversified and forward-looking public forum for young people to exchange ideas and to strengthen the youth communication between China and Korea, and to increase the mutual understanding and knowledge.
