Sino-Japanese Relations Dialogue Series

On the May 12th, GVI held a video conference under the framework of Dialogue Series on China-Japan relations. Zhang Tuosheng, Director of the Academic Committee and Director of the North-Eastern Studies Center at Grandview Institution, and Yūji Miyamoto, former Ambassador of Japan to China, were the moderators for the conference.

 

The panelists were followed:

Ichiro Fujisaki, former Japanese Ambassador to the United States

Iokibe Makoto, former principle at National Defense Academy of Japan

Akio Takahara, Professor, Chinese Politics and International Relations in East Asia at Tokyo University

Qiu Guohong, former Chinese Ambassador to South Korea

Shi Yinhong, member of Academic Committee at Grandview Institution, second-level post professor at Renmin University of China

Wu Huaizhong, Deputy Director and senior researcher of Institute of Japanese Studies, CASS

 

The panelists discussed about trend and problems of Sino-Japanese relations after the Kishida government came to power, impact of Russia-Ukraine Conflict on China-Japan Relations and how to break the situation to improve relations under the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Japan.
