[Introduction]


Based on strong economic fundamentals and the stability of the political system, Chilean economy is expected to continue growing. China has long been Chile's the most important trading partner and exporter. In 2012, Chile’s exports to China accounted for 23.3% of its total exports, almost twice as large as the United States, the second largest exporter.

This report analyzes Chilean solar industry from perspectives of a) macroeconomics of Chile, b) conditions and market of entering the Chilean photovoltaic industry, c) market entry barriers, d) the market competition pattern and e) financial analysis of investing.
